7 day course

& workbook

About the course

Over the next 7 days, you are invited to explore your definition of sexuality. ‘Reclaiming Yourself’ acknowledges our upbringings, the expectations of modern life and systems of oppression that bring on deep sexual shame. Nia, your embodied guide, blends trauma-informed guidance along with the 7 foundations of mindfulness in each meditation, backing them with modern science and ancient wisdoms to assist in transforming shame to empowered being.

This course wholeheartedly and fiercely welcomes humans of all genders, sexual orientations, upbringings and ethnicities.

Disclaimer: This course is rooted in principles of consent, respect, and personal empowerment. It does not endorse practices that are non-consensual, harmful, or exploitative. These meditations are designed for individuals seeking a safe, supportive space to heal and reconnect with themselves.

Who is this course for?

This course is for those who are seeking transformation of sexual shame that exists in their body. The intention of this series of meditations is to acknowledge the nuances of life that create this shame, to validate your lived experience and to assist you in affirming your sexuality. We begin this by first introducing non-judgment about even exploring this topic and then familiarizing ourselves with our bodies and their sensations. Over the course, we’ll continue to explore build new narratives, allowing for more expression, both non-sexually and sexually.

After each meditation, there are questions within the workbook that you may wish to reflect on to deepen your practice. These questions were created with care, embodiment and to assist you in coming back home to yourself.

Day 1: Releasing Judgment

In our opening practice, we learn how to cultivate a sense of non-judgment of ourselves, using 'noting' - a simple, yet powerful technique that allows us to create distance from feelings of shame arising from thoughts or emotions.

Day 2: Practicing Patience

Practice patience with yourself by becoming friends with the body. With sexual shame, we often are repulsed by the body or we ignore the body’s signals, turning our attention outward and forgetting ourselves in the process. with gentle guidance, get to know your body's signals and needs, to gain deeper access to the layers beneath.

Day 3: A New Influence

Our stories are often shaped by the external influences in the world around us. These influences are powerful, creating our sexuality before we have a chance to define it for ourselves. In this practice, we'll work with a visualization technique to bring to life what expression is to you, in your own words. This time, you are your own influence.

Day 4: Rebuilding Trust

Shame silences the necessary signals in the body that inform us of our needs and boundaries. over time, we can begin to rebuild the trust in our bodies' signals, allowing our inner voices to meet our outer one. in this practice, we'll work with the throat chakra to clear these pathways for our authentic expression to emerge.

Day 5: Your Pleasure Practice

Pleasure is a natural part of life and it is available to us in different ways, outside of sexuality. By introducing a pleasure practice that involves the senses in our day to day lives, we can normalize that experiencing pleasure is just another part of being the human beings that we are.

Day 6: You Are Human

Human beings have sexual organs. it's a fact of science, and the reason why life on this earth continues. In this practice, we'll explore acceptance of this fact, to further release shame that may linger in the body.

Day 7: Healing Your Inner Child

Many of the messages we learned about our sexuality began in our early years. our tender hearts and sensitive bodies made us especially vulnerable to the world around us. in this practice, we'll speak with our younger selves, giving them an opportunity to share their story and be heard - even all these years later.
